Enhance Bloom Effects Around Light Sources

Locate Bloom Settings

Open the shader configuration menu and search for bloom, glow, or luminance options. MakeUp Dead Days Shaders typically groups these controls together.

Adjust Bloom Intensity

Increase the bloom strength slider to make torches, lanterns, glowstone, and fire glow more prominently. Higher values create a more dramatic, atmospheric halo around bright blocks. Lower values keep glows subtle and realistic.

If available, adjust bloom threshold—this controls which brightness levels trigger the glow effect. A lower threshold makes more blocks bloom; a higher threshold reserves bloom only for the brightest sources.

Fine-Tune for Your World

Walk through your base or cave system at night. Torches and lanterns should emit visible light halos that feel immersive without overwhelming the scene. Adjust bloom radius if the option exists to control how far the glow spreads.

Test in different lighting conditions—caves, forests, and open sky—to ensure bloom looks balanced everywhere. Save your preferred settings and apply them permanently.
