Customize Colored Lighting from Blocks

Access Color Lighting Options

Open the shader settings and find controls for colored light or block light tinting. MakeUp Dead Days Shaders applies color to light sources like torches (warm orange), lanterns, and fire.

Adjust Color Saturation

Look for a color intensity or saturation slider. Increase it to make torch light appear more distinctly orange or warm; decrease it for more neutral, white-tinted light. This affects how strongly colored light influences nearby blocks and terrain.

Modify Individual Light Colors (if available)

Some shader packs allow per-block-type color adjustments. If your version supports this, you can customize the exact hue of torches, lanterns, redstone lamps, or other light sources to match your aesthetic preference.

Preview Changes

Place torches or lanterns in a dark area and observe how light colors spread across nearby surfaces. The colored glow should feel atmospheric and enhance your builds without looking artificial. Adjust saturation until the effect matches your desired mood—warm and cozy, or cool and eerie.
