How to Use the Enderium Upgrade Smithing Template

What the Template Does

The Enderium Upgrade Smithing Template drives the smithing_transform recipes in this mod. Instead of crafting a fresh Enderium item, you take an existing base item and transform it in a smithing table. The template is the catalyst that makes the transformation possible.

Step-by-Step Smithing

1. Obtain an Enderium Upgrade Smithing Template.

2. Craft or gather the base item you want to upgrade.

3. Gather the additional material the recipe requires (Enderium Ingot is the mod's core material).

4. Place the template, the base item, and the addition into the smithing table in the slots shown by the interface.

5. Take the resulting Enderium item out.

The mod registers nine smithing_transform recipes, so several base items can be converted this way. Open the smithing table and cycle through your inventory to see which of your items accept the template.

Managing Templates

Because each transformation consumes a template, plan how many you need before starting. If you intend to upgrade a full set of gear, count the pieces first and prepare one template per piece. Keep your templates separate from your ingots so you do not accidentally use one in a crafting grid — templates only function in the smithing table.
