How to Use Boundaries in Mahou Tsukai

What Boundaries Are

Boundaries are placed blocks that apply a continuous effect in an area or to a target. The registry includes Alarm Boundary, Boundary of Drain Life, Displacement Boundary, Enclosure Boundary, Gravity Boundary, Invisible Barrier, Protective Displacement, Tangible Boundary, and Selective Displacement. Each one does a different job, but they all share the same placement-and-power pattern.

Placement Steps

1. Craft the boundary you want. Check the Mahou Tsukai Knowledge Compendium for the exact recipe.

2. Place the boundary block where you want the effect to originate.

3. Use your Attuner on the block to configure or activate it.

4. Ensure a Mana Circuit or Magitech Mana Circuit is running nearby so the boundary has mana to draw from.

Choosing the Right Boundary

• Boundary of Drain Life drains life from entities in range.
• Alarm Boundary alerts you when something enters its area.
• Gravity Boundary alters gravity for entities inside it.
• Invisible Barrier and Tangible Boundary block movement.
• Displacement Boundary, Protective Displacement, and Selective Displacement move or redirect entities.
• Enclosure Boundary confines entities to an area.

Maintenance

Boundaries consume mana while active. If a boundary stops working, check your Mana Circuit first. Add a Magitech Mana Circuit if the drain is outpacing generation. Use the Attuner to toggle boundaries off when you do not need them, saving mana for other systems.
