How to Start Mahou Tsukai: Your First Mana Circuit

Begin by crafting the Mahou Tsukai Knowledge Compendium. This is your in-game reference for every ritual, boundary, and item. Open it whenever you need to check what a block does or what a recipe requires.

Build a Mana Circuit

Your first functional setup is the Mana Circuit. Place it down and interact with it to begin generating mana. Mana is the resource that powers nearly everything else in the mod, so getting a stable circuit running early matters more than anything else.

Once the Mana Circuit is placed, you can expand into the Magitech Mana Circuit, which is the upgraded version for larger-scale mana production. Both blocks appear in the registry, and the Magitech variant is what you want once your basic circuit is running.

Craft the Attuner

The Attuner is your general-purpose tool for interacting with magical systems. Craft it early and keep it on you. It is used alongside other blocks and items throughout progression.

Process Materials

Set up a Mortar and Pestle so you can grind materials. This gives you Powdered Diamond, Powdered Emerald, Powdered Ender, Powdered Eye, Powdered Gold, Powdered Iron, and Powdered Quartz. These powders feed into later crafting and ritual steps.

With a Mana Circuit running, an Attuner in hand, and powders available, you have the foundation to move into boundaries, mystic codes, and the rest of the mod's systems.
