How to Craft and Use the Attuner to Unlock Mahou Tsukai Magic

Crafting the Attuner

Start by processing raw materials with the Mortar and Pestle. Grind Diamond into Powdered Diamond, Emerald into Powdered Emerald, Gold into Powdered Gold, Iron into Powdered Iron, Quartz into Powdered Quartz, Ender into Powdered Ender, and Eyes into Powdered Eye. These powders feed most early recipes.

Combine the powders with other materials to produce the Attuner. Once you hold the Attuner, you can bind yourself to the mod's magic system and begin using spells and Mystic Codes.

Using the Attuner

Right-click with the Attuner to attune yourself. After attuning, you gain access to mana-driven items such as the Mystic Code, Gandr, and the various Scrolls. Attunement is the gate that turns inert items into usable tools.

If you lose attunement or want to re-attune, use the Attuner again. Keep a spare Attuner in a chest near your base so you can re-attune after death without re-crafting from scratch.

Early Progression

Once attuned, craft a Mystic Code to cast basic spells. From there, work toward the Mahou Tsukai Knowledge Compendium, which documents recipes and spell behavior in-game. Use the Mortar and Pestle to keep a stock of powders — nearly every advanced item, including the Mystic Code - First Sorcery and the Mystic Staff of Explosive Mana Condensation, depends on them.
