How to Craft Tunnel Armor

Gather the Three Parts

Tunnel Armor is assembled from three components: a Tunnel Armor Chassis, a Tunnel Armor Stack, and a Tunnel Armor Wheel. Each is a shaped recipe built from Iron Gears, with an Iron Wrench used as the tool for the work. Craft a stock of Iron Gears before starting so you do not run out mid-build.

Assemble and Deploy

Craft the Tunnel Armor Chassis as the main body. Craft the Tunnel Armor Stack for the upper section. Craft the Tunnel Armor Wheel for the drive component. Once all three parts are in your inventory, combine the Tunnel Armor Chassis, Tunnel Armor Stack, and Tunnel Armor Wheel in a crafting grid to produce the Tunnel Armor. Place the completed Tunnel Armor to deploy it. Note that Tunnel Armor uses a Wheel rather than a Leg, so do not craft a Magitek Armor Leg or Proto Armor Leg expecting it to fit. If the final recipe will not complete, verify you have all three Tunnel-specific parts and not parts from the other armor sets.
