How to Craft and Use the Essence Extractor

Building the Extractor

Place the Essence Extractor as a block in your base before you begin processing fungi. It is the entry point for turning raw mushroom material into usable essence. Craft it using a shaped recipe that combines Magical Fungi Alloy with other components from the mod.

Once placed, interact with the Essence Extractor to open its interface. Insert the fungus or mushroom item you want to process into the input slot. The extractor converts it into essence over time. Collect the output from the result slot.

Feeding the Production Chain

Essence from the Extractor feeds directly into later steps. Use it to craft Impetus Mushroom Stew, Morbus Mushroom Stew, Utilis Mushroom Stew, Vivifica Mushroom Stew, and Clypeus Mushroom Stew. Each stew requires its own essence type, so run multiple extraction batches if you need several varieties.

Essence is also required for the Magic Condenser and Glyph Carving Workbench recipes. Keep a steady supply on hand before starting those projects. If you run low, feed more raw fungi into the Extractor — the block does not consume fuel beyond the input item.

Store finished essence in a chest near your crafting area so you are not walking back and forth between the Extractor and your workbenches.
