How to Craft and Place a Pane Window

Crafting the Window

Pane Windows are the smallest window block in the mod and the base for larger variants. Open a crafting table and combine glass with the matching material for the frame. Wood variants such as Acacia Pane Window, Birch Pane Window, Cherry Pane Window, Dark Oak Pane Window, and Crimson Pane Window use the corresponding planks. Stone variants such as Andesite Pane Window, Diorite Pane Window, Granite Pane Window, Blackstone Pane Window, Dark Prismarine Pane Window, and Deepslate Pane Window use the matching stone block. Bricks Pane Window uses bricks.

Placing Windows in a Wall

Place a Pane Window into a one-block gap in a wall. It occupies the full block face and reads as a single opening. To build a wider opening, place several Pane Windows side by side in a row. If you want a framed look with a thicker border, use the matching Planks Pane Window variant, such as Acacia Planks Pane Window, Birch Planks Pane Window, Cherry Planks Pane Window, Crimson Planks Pane Window, or Dark Planks Oak Pane Window. Mix Pane Windows with solid blocks of the same material to control how much light enters a room.
