Shutter Variants

Shutters are decorative panels you place beside or over a window. Wood Shutters include Acacia Shutter, Birch Shutter, Cherry Shutter, Crimson Shutter, Dark Oak Shutter, and Bamboo Shutter. Louvered Shutters have slats and come in Acacia Louvered Shutter, Birch Louvered Shutter, Cherry Louvered Shutter, Crimson Louvered Shutter, Dark Oak Louvered Shutter, Andesite Louvered Shutter, Diorite Louvered Shutter, and Granite Louvered Shutter. Iron Shutter is the metal option.

Framing a Window with Shutters

Place a Shutter on each side of a Pane Window or Four Pane Window to create a framed opening. Use the same wood type as the window frame so the colors match. For a slatted look, swap the side panels for Louvered Shutters of the same material. You can also place a Shutter directly over a window block to close it visually. Combine a Louvered Shutter above a Pane Window to suggest a transom, or stack two Louvered Shutters vertically for a tall shuttered opening. Keep the surrounding wall in the matching planks or stone so the shutters read as part of the facade.
