Using Trapdoor Prints to Plan a Build

What the prints are

There are three Print items: Barred Trapdoor Print, Beach Trapdoor Print, Classic Trapdoor Print, and Cottage Trapdoor Print. Each one represents a trapdoor style rather than a specific wood.

Why they matter

Prints let you reference a style before committing wood. If you are deciding between a Barred look and a Cottage look for a barn, hold the corresponding Print and compare it against your planks. The Print itself is not a placeable trapdoor; it is a planning and reference item.

Workflow

1. Pick the style you want: Barred, Beach, Classic, or Cottage.

2. Gather planks of the wood you will use.

3. Craft the matching wood trapdoor for that style.

4. Keep the Print in a chest near your build site as a reminder of the style you chose.

Mixing styles

You can use several Prints in one project. A Cottage Trapdoor Print for the house, a Barn Trapdoor Print for the stable, and a Barred Trapdoor Print for the cellar give you a consistent visual language across the whole base without repeating the same trapdoor everywhere.
