Matching Trapdoors to Your Biome Build

Biome-specific woods

Use the wood that grows in your biome. Acacia for savanna, Birch for birch forest, Cherry for cherry grove, Crimson for crimson forest, and Dark Oak for dark forest. Each has the full range of styles: Bark, Barn, Barred, Barrel, Beach, Classic, Cottage, Four Panel, Glass, Mesh, Mystic, Paper, Ranch, Swamp, Tropical, Waffle, and Whispering.

Pick a style for the biome

Swamp Trapdoors suit wet, overgrown builds. Beach Trapdoors suit coastal and riverside builds. Tropical Trapdoors suit jungle and warm builds. Bark Trapdoors suit forest cabins. Whispering and Mystic Trapdoors suit magical or overgrown ruins.

Craft and place

All styles use crafting_shaped recipes with the matching wood planks. Craft the style that fits the biome, then place it on the top or bottom of a block face. Use the same style across a build so the biome reads clearly.

Blend two woods

If your build sits on a biome border, use one wood for the lower level and another for the upper. For example, Birch Classic Trapdoors below and Dark Oak Bark Trapdoors above. Both are crafted from their own planks, so you can switch styles without changing your material supply.
