How to Craft a Classic Trapdoor in Any Wood Type

Pick your wood

Every wood in the mod has a Classic Trapdoor: Acacia Classic Trapdoor, Bamboo Classic Trapdoor, Birch Classic Trapdoor, Cherry Classic Trapdoor, Crimson Classic Trapdoor, and Dark Oak Classic Trapdoor. Choose the wood that matches the build you are working on.

Craft it

Use a crafting_shaped recipe with planks of the matching wood type. The Classic Trapdoor is the plain, flat-panel look, so it works anywhere a vanilla-style trapdoor would. If you already have planks from that wood, you have everything you need.

Use it

Place the Classic Trapdoor on the top or bottom half of a block face. It opens and closes like any trapdoor. Because it is a full block face, it pairs well with fences and walls for hidden floor hatches, attic access, and cellar doors.

Match a set

If you want a matching look across a build, craft the same wood's Bark Trapdoor, Barn Trapdoor, or Cottage Trapdoor alongside it. All of them use the same wood planks, so you can swap styles per room without changing your material supply.
