Building a Barn Door Set with Barn and Ranch Trapdoors

Choose the wood

Barn Trapdoors and Ranch Trapdoors are available in Acacia, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, and Dark Oak. Pick the wood that matches your barn walls.

Craft the set

Both styles use crafting_shaped recipes with the matching wood planks. Craft several of each so you can line a full wall. Barn Trapdoors give a heavier, slatted look; Ranch Trapdoors read as lighter and more open.

Assemble the wall

Place Barn Trapdoors along the lower half of a wall as stall doors. Stack Ranch Trapdoors above them for hayloft access. Because both are trapdoors, they open and close independently, so you can open one stall without disturbing the others.

Add detail

Frame the trapdoors with fences and posts of the same wood. If you want a contrasting accent, use a different wood's Barn Trapdoor for a single stall. Keep the Ranch Trapdoors consistent across the row so the upper level reads as one continuous feature.
