How to Use Lower Base and Lower Top Roof Pieces

What Lower Pieces Do

Lower Base Roof and Lower Top Roof form a shallow-pitch slope. They are the flatter counterpart to the steep pair. Use them for porch overhangs, low sheds, and the bottom section of a roof that transitions from steep to gentle.

Placement Order

1. Set Lower Top Roof along the upper edge of the shallow section.

2. Place Lower Base Roof directly below it.

3. Continue the pair downward to the eave.

4. Finish the bottom with a Rain Gutter.

Mixing with Steep Sections

A common build uses Steep Base Roof and Steep Top Roof for the upper two-thirds of the slope, then switches to Lower Base Roof and Lower Top Roof for the final third near the eave. This gives a curved silhouette without needing custom shapes. Keep the same material family across both sections so the transition reads cleanly.
