How to Craft Desks and Bookshelves for a Study

Desk Options

Three desk shapes exist per wood: Desk, Covered Desk, and Modern Desk. Craft the one that fits your room. A Desk is the plain version, a Covered Desk adds a raised back edge, and a Modern Desk has a cleaner silhouette.

Shelving Above the Desk

1. Craft a Bookshelf and place it on the wall behind the desk.

2. If you want the shelf to look like it has storage, use Bookshelf Drawer or Lower Bookshelf Drawer instead.

3. For a cupboard-style shelf, use Cupboard Bookshelf.

4. Stack two Bookshelves vertically for a taller library wall.

Seating and Storage

Pair the desk with a Chair, Modern Chair, or Stool. Add a Drawer, Large Drawer, or Triple Drawer beside the desk for a storage-looking unit. A Wardrobe or Modern Wardrobe in the corner finishes the room. All of these are shaped recipes using the same wood as the desk, so craft the whole set from one plank type to keep the study visually unified.
