How to Craft a Basic Chair and Table Set

Pick Your Wood

Every wood type has a matching Chair and Table: Acacia Chair, Acacia Table, Birch Chair, Birch Table, Cherry Chair, Cherry Table. Choose one wood and gather its planks and sticks before you start.

Crafting Steps

1. Place planks in a 2x2 square in the crafting grid to get your starting planks if you only have logs.

2. Craft sticks from two planks stacked vertically.

3. Build the Chair using planks and sticks in a shaped recipe.

4. Build the Table the same way with its own shaped layout.

5. Place the Chair and Table next to each other to form a dining spot.

Expanding the Set

Once you have a Chair and Table, add an End Table beside the chair, a Coffee Table in front, and a Bookshelf against a wall. Each is a separate shaped recipe using the same wood. If you want a taller seat, swap the Chair for a Stool or a Modern Chair. For a striped look, use the Striped Chair instead. Keep a stack of planks and sticks in your inventory so you can craft matching pieces on the spot without returning to a crafting table.
