Using Bridge Stairs and Supports Together

What Each Piece Does

A Bridge block is the flat deck. A Bridge Stair is the angled ramp that lets you step from ground level up onto the deck. A Bridge Support is the vertical post that holds the deck up. Almost every material family has all three: for example Acacia Bridge, Acacia Bridge Stair, Acacia Bridge Support; or Blackstone Bridge, Blackstone Bridge Stair, Blackstone Bridge Support.

A Repeatable Build Order

1. Lay the Bridge deck across the gap first. Count the blocks you need before crafting.

2. Place Bridge Stair at each end, facing the deck, so the top step meets the deck edge.

3. Place Bridge Support blocks directly under the deck at regular intervals. One Support every few blocks is enough to read as structure.

4. For long spans over water, swap the middle Supports for a Bridge Pier if your material has one, such as Andesite Bridge Pier or Granite Bridge Pier.

Matching Materials

Keep the deck, stair, and support from the same family so the textures line up. Mixing an Acacia Bridge deck with a Birch Bridge Support looks mismatched. If you want a railing, use a Rail Bridge block instead of a plain Bridge, or a Balustrade variant for a stone railing.

Lighting the Deck

Place Bridge Torch or Bridge Lantern along the deck to light it. Both are dedicated bridge light blocks, so they fit the structure better than a plain torch.
