Making a Two-Wide Bridge

Plan the Width First

A two-wide bridge is two Bridge blocks placed side by side along the whole span. Decide the length of your crossing, then double that number to get your deck count. For example, a ten-block gap needs twenty Bridge blocks for a two-wide deck.

Build Steps

1. Craft the deck blocks. Pick one family, such as Dark Oak Bridge or Cobblestone Bridge, and craft enough for two rows.

2. Place the first row of Bridge blocks across the gap.

3. Place the second row directly beside it, so the two rows run parallel and touch.

4. At each end, place Bridge Stair blocks across both rows so the full width ramps up onto the deck.

5. Under the deck, place Bridge Support blocks in pairs, one under each row, at regular intervals. For long spans, use a Bridge Pier if your material has one, such as Cobblestone Bridge Pier or Andesite Bridge Pier.

Keeping It Clean

Use the same material for both rows so the seam is not obvious. If you want railings, use a Rail Bridge block on the outer edges and a plain Bridge block in the middle, or use a Balustrade variant for stone. Light the deck with Bridge Torch or Bridge Lantern spaced along the centre line.
