Lighting and Finishing Your Bridge

Dedicated Light Blocks

The mod adds two light blocks made for bridges: Bridge Torch and Bridge Lantern. Place them along the deck to keep the walkway lit at night. They sit on the bridge structure and match its style better than a plain torch dropped on the planks.

Finishing Checklist

1. Deck: Bridge blocks laid edge to edge, or Rail Bridge / Balustrade blocks if you want a built-in railing.

2. Approaches: Bridge Stair at each end, facing the deck.

3. Understructure: Bridge Support blocks at intervals, or Bridge Pier blocks for long spans over water.

4. Lighting: Bridge Torch or Bridge Lantern spaced evenly along the deck.

Matching the Surroundings

Choose a material family that fits the terrain. Use Acacia Bridge, Birch Bridge, Cherry Bridge, Dark Oak Bridge, Jungle Bridge, Mangrove Bridge, or Bamboo Bridge for wooden builds. Use Andesite Bridge, Blackstone Bridge, Brick Bridge, Cobblestone Bridge, Deepslate Brick Bridge, Deepslate Tile Bridge, Diorite Bridge, End Stone Bricks Bridge, Granite Bridge, Mossy Cobblestone Bridge, Mossy Stone Brick Bridge, Mud Brick Bridge, or Nether Bricks Bridge for stone and masonry builds. Asian Red Bridge and its Pier and Stair variants suit decorative red-painted spans.

Quick Repairs

If a section looks unfinished, check three things: the Stair faces the deck, the Support reaches the ground, and the lighting is spaced evenly. Fixing those three makes any bridge read as complete.
