How to Craft and Place a Basic Wooden Bridge

Crafting the Bridge

Start with any wood-type Bridge block. The shaped recipe consumes planks of the matching wood, so Acacia Bridge needs acacia planks, Birch Bridge needs birch planks, and so on. Place the planks in a row pattern in the crafting grid to produce the Bridge block.

For a longer span, craft Bridge Stair and Bridge Support variants from the same wood. Acacia Bridge Stair, Acacia Bridge Support, Birch Bridge Stair, Birch Bridge Support, Cherry Bridge Stair, Cherry Bridge Support, Crimson Bridge Stair, Crimson Bridge Support, Dark Oak Bridge Stair, Dark Oak Bridge Support, Jungle Bridge Stair, Jungle Bridge Support, Mangrove Bridge Stair, Mangrove Bridge Support, Bamboo Bridge Stair, Bamboo Bridge Support, Dry Bamboo Bridge Stair, and Dry Bamboo Bridge Support all follow the same wood-matched logic.

Building the Span

1. Place Bridge blocks end to end across the gap.

2. Attach Bridge Stair at each end to transition down to solid ground.

3. Place Bridge Support underneath the middle of the span for a braced look.

4. Add Bridge Torch or Bridge Lantern on top for lighting.

Rail variants exist for several woods: Acacia Rail Bridge, Birch Rail Bridge, Cherry Rail Bridge, Crimson Rail Bridge, Dark Oak Rail Bridge, Jungle Rail Bridge, and Mangrove Rail Bridge. Use these where you want a rail line to cross the bridge without laying separate rails.
