How to Craft and Place a Basic Bridge

Pick Your Material

Every bridge family follows the same three-block pattern: a Bridge deck, a Bridge Stair for the sloped ends, and a Bridge Support for the underside. Wood families (Acacia Bridge, Birch Bridge, Cherry Bridge, Dark Oak Bridge, Jungle Bridge, Mangrove Bridge, Crimson Bridge, Bamboo Bridge, Dry Bamboo Bridge) and stone families (Andesite Bridge, Diorite Bridge, Granite Bridge, Cobblestone Bridge, Blackstone Bridge, Brick Bridge, Deepslate Brick Bridge, Deepslate Tile Bridge, End Stone Bricks Bridge, Mossy Cobblestone Bridge, Mossy Stone Brick Bridge, Mud Brick Bridge, Nether Bricks Bridge) all work this way.

Build the Span

1. Craft the Bridge block in a crafting table using your chosen material.

2. Craft matching Bridge Stair blocks for each end so the deck slopes down to the ground.

3. Craft Bridge Support blocks and place them under the deck for the underside beams.

4. Lay the flat Bridge blocks across the gap, cap both ends with Bridge Stair, then attach Bridge Support beneath.

Stone variants such as Andesite Bridge, Diorite Bridge, Granite Bridge, Cobblestone Bridge, End Stone Bricks Bridge, and Asian Red Bridge also have a Bridge Pier block for taller spans. Place a Bridge Pier under the middle of a long deck to break up the distance.

Light It

Finish with a Bridge Torch or Bridge Lantern on the deck or supports so the crossing is lit at night.
