Crafting Stone and Masonry Bridges

Available Stone Bridges

Stone-type bridges use the same three-part structure: a base Bridge, a Bridge Stair, and a Bridge Support. Options include Andesite Bridge, Blackstone Bridge, Brick Bridge, Cobblestone Bridge, Deepslate Brick Bridge, Deepslate Tile Bridge, Diorite Bridge, End Stone Bricks Bridge, Granite Bridge, Mossy Cobblestone Bridge, Mossy Stone Brick Bridge, Mud Brick Bridge, and Nether Bricks Bridge.

Several of these also have a Bridge Pier variant: Andesite Bridge Pier, Cobblestone Bridge Pier, Diorite Bridge Pier, End Stone Bricks Bridge Pier, Granite Bridge Pier, Mossy Cobblestone Bridge Pier, Nether Bricks Bridge Pier, and Asian Red Bridge Pier. Piers are the thick vertical columns that sit in water or on the ground to carry a long span.

Building a Long Span

1. Craft Bridge blocks for the deck.

2. Craft Bridge Stair blocks for both approaches.

3. Craft Bridge Support blocks for short posts.

4. Craft Bridge Pier blocks where the span is long and needs a heavy column.

Place the deck first, then set Piers down at the midpoint and Supports near the ends. Stairs go at each bank, facing the deck so the walk-up is smooth.

Balustrade Variants
