Enhance Water Appearance and Reflections
Enable PBR Water Rendering
In shader options, confirm that PBR (physically-based rendering) water is enabled. This setting activates realistic reflections and surface detail that make water look three-dimensional rather than flat.
Adjust Wave Frequency and Amplitude
Locate water wave settings. Increasing frequency makes waves smaller and more detailed; increasing amplitude makes them taller and more dramatic. Balance these to match your aesthetic—calm lakes benefit from low amplitude, while oceans look better with moderate to high wave intensity.
Control Reflection Clarity
If water reflections appear too sharp or too blurry, adjust reflection quality or blur settings. Clearer reflections show sky and terrain detail; softer reflections create a more diffuse, natural look.
Test in Different Conditions
View water at different times of day and under various sky conditions. Reflections change with lighting, so test during sunrise, noon, and night to ensure the effect looks good throughout your play session.
