Toggle Brightness Boost On and Off Mid-Adventure

Quick Toggle with Keyboard

Press H during gameplay to instantly switch the brightness adjustment on or off. This is the fastest way to compare how your world looks with and without the mod active, or to temporarily disable it if you want to experience vanilla darkness.

Using Commands

If you prefer chat commands, type:

• /halfbright toggle — switches the mode on or off
• /halfbright enable — turns brightness boost on
• /halfbright disable — turns brightness boost off

When to Toggle

Toggle the brightness off when you want to experience the vanilla atmosphere or test how your builds look in standard lighting. Toggle it back on when you're exploring deep caves or navigating night biomes and need better visibility. The mod preserves your last-used light level setting, so you don't need to reconfigure after toggling back on.

No Performance Impact

Switching between modes is instant and causes no lag or stuttering, so feel free to toggle freely based on your current activity.
