Maximize Colored Light Effects from Torches and Glowstone
Setting Up Light Sources
Colored illumination is most visible when light sources are placed strategically in dark areas. Place torches, glowstone, lanterns, and other light-emitting blocks in caves, underground bases, and enclosed spaces where the shader's colored lighting can cast warm and cool tones across nearby blocks.
Optimizing Visibility
The colored light effect works best in low-light environments. Build in caves or create underground structures with minimal natural light exposure. Avoid placing light sources in bright daylight areas, where the sun's natural lighting will dominate and reduce the visibility of colored illumination.
Cluster multiple light sources together to intensify the colored glow effect. Warm-toned sources like torches will create orange and yellow halos, while cooler sources produce blue and cyan tints. Experiment with mixing different light types to create atmospheric color gradients throughout your builds.
For best results, ensure your graphics settings prioritize shader quality. The colored lighting effect scales with your shader intensity—higher quality settings will produce more pronounced and vibrant colored illumination across surrounding blocks.
