Optimize Performance While Maintaining Visual Quality

Check Current Frame Rate

Enable the debug screen (F3) to monitor your FPS while playing. This shows whether you need optimization.

Reduce Water Wave Detail

Access shader settings and look for water or wave geometry options. Lowering 3D wave complexity reduces GPU load while keeping water visually interesting. The effect remains noticeable even at lower settings.

Adjust Shadow and Lighting Quality

Find shadow distance and shadow resolution sliders. Reducing these decreases processing demands significantly. Luminary's balanced lighting system means caves stay readable and daylight remains crisp even with moderate shadow settings.

Disable or Lower Fog Distance

Fog rendering can impact performance. Reduce fog draw distance rather than removing it entirely to keep atmosphere while gaining frames.

Test Custom Skybox Impact

If performance is still low, try disabling custom skyboxes temporarily to isolate their impact. Re-enable them at lower resolution if needed.

Start by adjusting one setting at a time and monitor FPS changes to find your optimal balance.
