Create Mood Lighting for Different Times of Day
Understand Luminary's Lighting System
Luminary applies different lighting profiles automatically based on time of day. The shader handles transitions between dawn, noon, dusk, and night with cinematic color grading.
Access Time-Based Settings
Open shader options and locate lighting or color grading sections. Many settings allow per-time adjustments—look for tabs or sliders labeled by time period.
Adjust Daylight Tone
During midday, increase warmth or saturation if you want golden hour vibes, or keep it neutral for clarity. Luminary keeps daylight crisp by default, so subtle tweaks go a long way.
Customize Night Atmosphere
Night lighting can be adjusted to feel more mysterious or more visible. Increase ambient light slightly if caves feel too dark, or keep it low for horror-focused gameplay.
Test Transitions
Use the /time command to cycle through day-night quickly and observe how your settings feel across transitions. Smooth, natural-looking changes enhance immersion.
Remember: Luminary's fantasy aesthetic means colors may shift toward cooler or warmer tones depending on your adjustments—this is intentional and part of the cinematic effect.
