Optimize Frame Rate on Lower-End Hardware

Reduce Shadow Quality

LumenLite Shaders includes shadow distance and resolution settings. Lower the shadow distance to reduce the area around your character that receives detailed shadows. Decrease shadow map resolution if frame rates remain low.

Disable or Lower Water Effects

Water wave intensity and reflection quality can impact performance. Find the water settings and reduce wave complexity or disable animated reflections. Transparency will remain clear while using fewer resources.

Adjust Render Distance

While not a shader setting, reducing your render distance in video settings works alongside LumenLite to improve frame rates. Start with a moderate distance and increase it only if your frame rate remains stable.

Monitor Performance

Enable the debug screen (F3) to watch your frame rate while adjusting settings. Make one change at a time so you can identify which settings impact your specific hardware most significantly.

Test Different Biomes

Some biomes demand more processing power than others. Test your settings in forests, caves, and open areas to ensure consistent performance across your world.
