Customize Colored Lighting Effects

Open Shader Configuration

Access the shader settings menu and navigate to the Lighting or Colors section. This is where Lumeau Shaders applies its signature colored light system.

Adjust Light Saturation and Hue

Look for options controlling:

  • Light saturation: Increases or decreases how vivid colored lights appear. Higher values make lava glow more orange, water reflect more blue, and biome lighting more distinct.
  • Ambient light color: Adjusts the overall tone of indirect lighting in shadowed areas.
  • Emissive brightness: Controls how brightly light-emitting blocks (like glowstone or lanterns) illuminate their surroundings.

Fine-Tune Per-Biome Feel

Walk through different biomes—forests, deserts, oceans, and nether areas—to see how colored lighting changes the atmosphere. Adjust saturation until the lighting feels natural but enhanced. Lower saturation creates a more vanilla-like appearance, while higher values emphasize the shader's visual upgrades.
