Explore Caves Comfortably Without Losing Atmosphere

Use the Brightened Night Feature

Lucidus Shaders lifts darkness in caves and at night without making them feel artificial. This is a core feature—caves remain atmospheric while being navigable.

Light Your Path Strategically

Place torches as you explore. The shader's colored lighting makes torchlight feel more natural and immersive. You'll see warm glows spreading across stone and ore, making navigation easier than vanilla.

Adjust Ambient Lighting if Needed

If caves still feel too dark, increase the night brightness slider in shader options. If they feel too bright and lose atmosphere, lower it slightly. Find the balance that lets you see without losing mood.

Combine with Torches for Best Results

Don't rely solely on ambient brightening. Place torches strategically at intersections and resource areas. The colored light from torches becomes the primary visual guide, while ambient lighting provides safe fallback visibility.

Test Different Times

Explore at night and in deep caves to see how the shader handles both. Adjust settings based on where you spend most time.
