Optimize Performance on Lower-End Hardware

Using the Lightweight Profile

Lost_Tape_Remastered Shaders is designed to run on budget setups. Ensure you're using the lightweight or low-performance version of the shader pack if multiple profiles are available. This version disables or reduces computationally expensive effects like complex glitch algorithms and high-resolution grain overlays.

Disabling Optional Effects

In your shader settings, look for toggles for individual features: Scanlines, Grain Overlay, Tracking Glitches, and Vignette. Disable the most performance-heavy ones first—typically glitches and complex distortions. You can keep scanlines and grain enabled since these are less demanding.

Monitor Performance

Check your FPS in-game using F3 (Java Edition) or your mod loader's performance monitor. If you're still experiencing lag, reduce render distance or lower other Minecraft graphics settings (clouds, particles, entity shadows). The shader itself should not demand high VRAM or CPU power if configured correctly, so performance issues often stem from other settings rather than the shader alone.
