Running Rituals with Ritual Chalk and the Ascension Matrix

Rituals are a distinct recipe type in Lord Craft (lordcraft:ritual). They are not performed at a crafting table — they are performed in the world using chalk and a focal block.

Preparing the Ritual Site

You need Advanced Ritual Chalk to draw the ritual. Place the chalk in your hand and use it on the ground to lay down the ritual pattern. The exact pattern depends on the ritual you are performing.

The Ascension Matrix

Place the Ascension Matrix at the center of your ritual site. It acts as the focal block for the ritual. Surround it with the required offering blocks and items according to the ritual you are running.

Performing the Ritual

1. Draw the ritual pattern with Advanced Ritual Chalk.

2. Place the Ascension Matrix at the center.

3. Place the required items around the Matrix.

4. Activate the ritual (right-click the Matrix or the pattern, depending on the ritual).

5. Collect the output from the Matrix or the surrounding area.

What Rituals Produce

Rituals are used to obtain the mod's higher-tier items, including the Artifacts (Artifact Air, Artifact Dark, Artifact Earth, Artifact Fire, Artifact Light, Artifact Water, Artifact of Destruction, Artifact of Restoration, Artifact of the Defender) and the Ascension Matrix itself in some progressions.

Tips

• Build your ritual site on flat ground so the chalk pattern is not broken by terrain.
• Keep spare Advanced Ritual Chalk on hand; patterns can be disrupted by mobs or explosions.
