How to Check Whether Lootr Is Working in Your World
What to Look For
Lootr changes how loot containers behave: each player who opens a container gets their own personal loot, and once a player has looted a container, that container appears opened to them but stays fresh for everyone else. To verify the mod is active, find any naturally generated loot container — a chest in a dungeon, mineshaft, stronghold, or similar structure — and open it.
Testing Steps
1. Open a naturally generated chest and take the contents.
2. Close the chest and look at it again. If Lootr is running, the chest should now render in its opened state for you.
3. Have a second player (or a second account) open the same chest. If Lootr is working, they should see a full, unopened container with their own loot, not your empty one.
4. Place a chest yourself and open it. Player-placed containers are not converted to Lootr containers, so they behave like normal chests.
If It Is Not Working
If every player sees the same shared, emptied chest, the mod is not loaded on the server or is not present on the client. Lootr must be installed on both the server and every client connecting to it. If only some players see per-player loot, check that all clients have the mod installed. On a singleplayer world, confirm the mod is present in the instance you launched.
