Fixing Lootr When Chests Show Shared or Empty Loot

Symptom: Everyone Sees the Same Loot

If two players open the same naturally generated chest and see identical, shared contents — and the chest empties for both — Lootr is not active on the server. Install Lootr on the server and restart it. The mod must run server-side for per-player loot to be generated.

Symptom: One Player Sees Per-Player Loot, Another Does Not

This means the server has Lootr but a client does not. Install Lootr on the affected client's instance and reconnect. All clients must have the mod for consistent behaviour.

Symptom: A Chest You Placed Acts Differently

Player-placed containers are not converted to Lootr containers. They behave as normal chests with shared contents. This is expected — only naturally generated loot containers get per-player loot.

Symptom: A Container Stays Opened for You

Once you have looted a container, it remains opened for you permanently and cannot be looted again by you. Other players who have not looted it still see it unopened with their own loot. This is normal behaviour, not a bug.

Checklist

1. Lootr installed on the server.

2. Lootr installed on every client.

3. Server restarted after installing.

4. Test with a naturally generated container, not one you placed.

5. Test with two accounts to confirm separate loot rolls.
