Fixing Lootr Containers That Won't Open or Won't Refresh

Why a container looks locked or empty

If a Loot Chest, Loot Barrel, Loot Shulker, or copper loot chest will not give you loot, the most common cause is that you have already looted that specific block. Lootr tracks loot per player per block. Once you have taken your roll, the container shows as looted for you and will not refresh for you, no matter how many times you reopen it. Another player who has not looted it will still see loot.

Making loot refresh for you

There is no in-game command or config toggle that resets a single container for a single player. To get a fresh roll, you need a different container block. Break the looted container and place a new Loot Chest, Loot Barrel, Loot Shulker, or copper variant in its place — the new block has no looted flag for you and will roll loot normally. If you want to keep the old block, mine it with Silk Touch and store it; it will still be looted for you wherever you place it.

Checking your setup

If a freshly placed container still gives nothing, confirm you are placing an actual Lootr block and not a vanilla chest. Only the Lootr blocks — Loot Chest, Loot Barrel, Loot Shulker, the four copper loot chests, and the Decorated Loot Pot — roll per-player loot. Gravel and Sand are also Lootr blocks and behave as lootable terrain, not containers.
