Maximize Natural Tree Appearance
Understanding Stub Placement
Stubs appear randomly on side faces of logs rather than every block, creating a natural, organic look. The pack uses low random weights, so most of your tree will still display standard log textures. This balance prevents trees from looking cluttered while adding realistic detail.
Biome-Specific Features
Forest biomes occasionally spawn larger stump variations alongside regular stubs, enhancing the wild, untamed aesthetic. Birch logs have a chance to display small mushrooms growing on their sides, adding extra environmental storytelling.
Preserving the Effect
To maintain this natural appearance, avoid stripping or converting logs in wild trees. Leave them in their original state so the random stub generation can work as intended. The top and bottom faces remain flat, so stacks of logs still align cleanly while sides gain character.
