Craft the Lexicon

The LivingThings Lexicon is the only craftable item in the mod. It uses the single crafting_shapeless recipe, so you do not need a shaped grid pattern — just throw the ingredients into a crafting grid in any arrangement.

1. Open a crafting table or your inventory crafting grid.

2. Place the recipe ingredients in the grid in any order.

3. Take the LivingThings Lexicon out of the result slot.

Because the recipe is shapeless, you can craft it from a 2x2 inventory grid as well as a 3x3 table, as long as every required ingredient is present.

Use it as your reference

Once crafted, keep the LivingThings Lexicon in your hotbar or inventory while you play. It is the in-game reference for the mod's content — the five cooked meats and their cooking methods. When you are unsure whether a meat smelts, smokes, or campfire-cooks, check the Lexicon instead of guessing.

Pair it with your cooking setup: craft the Lexicon first, then build a campfire, furnace, or smoker, then start processing raw meat into Cooked Crab Meat, Cooked Elephant Meat, Cooked Giraffe Meat, Cooked Lion Meat, and Cooked Ostrich Meat. The Lexicon stays useful after you have cooked everything because it documents all five outputs in one place.
