Optimize Performance on Low-End Hardware
Identify Performance Bottlenecks
Load your world and check your frame rate using the debug screen (F3 on most setups). If frames drop below your target, the shader settings need adjustment.
Reduce Shader Load
Access the LiteMc Shaders settings and lower these options in order of impact:
- Shadow resolution: Decrease this to reduce the detail and processing power needed for shadows.
- Reflection quality: Lower water reflection detail if you notice stuttering near bodies of water.
- Draw distance for effects: Reduce how far from the player shadows and reflections render.
- Ambient occlusion: Disable or reduce this feature if available, as it's computationally expensive.
Monitor Results
After each change, return to your world and observe frame rate stability. Walk through different biomes and near water to test performance under various conditions. Make small adjustments rather than drastic cuts—this helps you find the sweet spot between visuals and smoothness.
If performance still struggles, consider using a simpler shader preset if LiteMc offers one, or reduce Minecraft's render distance alongside shader settings.
