Customize Day and Night Lighting
Open Lighting Configuration
Access the LiteMc Shaders settings menu and locate the lighting or color section. This controls how the shader renders light during different times of day.
Adjust Daytime Lighting
Find controls for:
- Sunbeam intensity: Increase to make sunlight more dramatic and visible as rays through clouds and trees. Decrease for softer, more subtle daylight.
- Sky brightness: Control overall daytime brightness. Higher values create a brighter, more cheerful world.
- Ambient light: Adjust how much light fills shadowed areas. Higher values reduce harsh shadows; lower values create more contrast.
Configure Nighttime Appearance
Look for night-specific settings:
- Moon brightness: Make moonlight more or less prominent at night.
- Night sky color: Customize the tone of the night sky—warmer or cooler hues.
- Star visibility: Some shaders let you enhance or reduce star detail.
Test and Balance
Play through a full day-night cycle to see how your adjustments feel. Visit different biomes—forests, deserts, mountains—since lighting interacts differently with terrain. Aim for settings that feel natural while maintaining the vanilla Minecraft aesthetic you prefer.
