Adjust Shadow Intensity and Softness
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu by pressing the designated shader settings key (usually accessed through your mod menu or video settings). Look for the LiteMc Shaders configuration panel.
Configure Shadow Parameters
Locate the shadow-related sliders in the settings menu. You'll typically find options to control:
- Shadow softness: Increase this value to make shadows blend more smoothly into lit areas, creating a gentler appearance. Decrease it for sharper, more defined shadows.
- Shadow distance: Adjust how far shadows cast from their source objects. Lower values reduce shadow range but improve performance.
- Shadow intensity: Control how dark shadows appear. Higher values create deeper shadows; lower values make them more subtle.
Apply and Test
After adjusting each slider, return to your world to see the changes in real-time. Shadows under trees and buildings will update immediately. Test in different lighting conditions—bright daylight, sunset, and night—to ensure your settings look good across all times of day.
If performance drops, reduce shadow distance or softness slightly. These adjustments let you balance visual quality with frame rate on your specific hardware.
