Optimize LiteFrames Shaders on Low-End Hardware
Check Your Current Performance
Before tweaking, launch Minecraft with LiteFrames Shaders enabled and check your frame rate using F3 (or your debug screen). Note your baseline FPS in different environments—open sky, dense forests, caves.
Reduce Visual Quality Settings
Open Shader Options and look for:
- Shadow quality: Lower shadow resolution to improve FPS with minimal visual loss
- Ambient occlusion: Disable or reduce intensity if frames drop significantly
- Reflection/water effects: Scale back water and reflective surface detail
- Particle effects: Reduce rain and weather particle density
Balance Performance and Aesthetics
LiteFrames is designed for potato hardware, so it should run smoothly at default settings. If you still experience lag, disable advanced features one at a time and test. The shader maintains its vanilla charm and warm nostalgic tone even with minimal effects enabled.
If performance remains poor, verify your GPU drivers are current and that no other resource-heavy programs run in the background.
