Restore Vanilla Look While Keeping Better Lighting
Disable Color Grading and Filters
In shader options, turn off any color correction, saturation adjustments, or post-processing filters that alter the game's palette. This preserves Minecraft's original block colors and biome tones.
Keep Shadows and Lighting Only
Focus shader settings on shadow rendering and light distribution while leaving color untouched. Disable bloom, lens flare, and chromatic aberration effects that add visual flair but change the classic aesthetic.
Adjust Contrast Carefully
If the shader includes contrast controls, keep them neutral or slightly reduced. Too much contrast makes the world feel artificial; subtle adjustments maintain vanilla feel while improving depth perception.
Compare Side-by-Side
Toggle the shader on and off (or switch to vanilla) to verify the world still looks recognizably like standard Minecraft. Colors should match vanilla, but lighting should be noticeably smoother and shadows more defined. If the appearance drifts too far, reset shader settings to defaults and make only minimal tweaks.
