How to Craft Street Lamps, Garden Lights, and Glowstone Slabs

Street and Garden Lighting

Double Street Lamp Post is a tall fixture for roads, plazas, and driveways. Craft it at a crafting table and place it on solid ground to light a wide area from above head height. Garden Light and Covered Garden Light are lower fixtures for flower beds, paths, and lawns. Place Garden Light where you want an open flame look, and Covered Garden Light where you want the flame shielded from rain or from view. Both sit at ground level and light the surrounding plants.

Glowstone Slab

Glowstone Slab is a slab-shaped light block. Craft it and place it like any other slab: on the ground, on top of another block, or upside down under a ceiling. Because it is a slab, it fits into half-block gaps and can be walked over without a step up. Use it under glass floors, in ceilings, or as a hidden light source behind a build. Combine Glowstone Slab with Garden Light along a path for layered lighting: slabs at foot level, garden lights at knee level, and Double Street Lamp Post at the corners.
