How to Craft Colored Lamps, Ceiling Lights, and Paper Lamps

Color Families

Three color families are available: Lamp, Ceiling Light, and Paper Lamp. Each comes in Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, Light Gray, Lime, Magenta, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, and more. That gives you a full dye palette to match any build. Craft the color you want at a crafting table using the base lamp or light plus the matching dye.

Choosing the Right Fixture

Lamp blocks are freestanding light sources you can place on floors, tables, or shelves. Ceiling Light blocks mount to the underside of a ceiling and cast light downward, which suits rooms with low furniture. Paper Lamp blocks are the lightest option and work well in Japanese-style or minimalist builds where you want a soft, papery look. Because all three families share the same color set, you can combine a Black Lamp on a desk with a Black Ceiling Light overhead and a Black Paper Lamp on a shelf for a consistent monochrome room. Swap colors per room to zone a base.
