Crafting a Ceiling Fan Light

Ceiling Fan Light variants exist for Acacia, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Oak, and Pale Oak. Each is a shaped recipe that combines the matching wood with light-producing materials. Gather the wood type you want, then craft the fan light at a crafting table. The result is a single block that mounts flush to a ceiling.

Placement and Use

Place a Ceiling Fan Light by targeting the underside of a block above you. It occupies the ceiling space and emits light downward, making it ideal for rooms where you do not want a torch or lantern taking up floor or wall space. Because each variant matches its wood family, you can keep a build's palette consistent: an Oak Ceiling Fan Light for oak-plank ceilings, a Crimson Ceiling Fan Light for crimson builds, and so on. If you are lighting a large hall, space them evenly across the ceiling so the light overlaps. Break one with any tool to recover it and move it elsewhere.
