Building Colored Tube Lighting

From Dust to Tube

Colored tubes start with gas dust. Follow this chain for each gas:

1. Collect the dust — Argon Dust, Krypton Dust, Neon Dust, Radon Dust, or Xenon Dust.

2. Compress dust into its Pile — for example Argon Pile.

3. Craft the pile into a Tube — for example Argon Tube.

4. Combine tubes into a Tube Block — for example Argon Tube Block.

Repeat for each gas to get Krypton Tube Block, Neon Tube Block, Radon Tube Block, and Xenon Tube Block.

Supporting Materials

Tubes also use Glass Tube as a base component. Craft Glass Tube from glass before assembling colored tubes. If you run short on glass, batch-craft a stack of Glass Tube first — every colored tube recipe draws on it.

Placing Tube Blocks

Tube Blocks emit light and read as long, thin fixtures. Line them along ceilings, walls, or floor strips to create continuous runs of color. Mix two or three gas colors in one build for contrast. Because each color comes from a separate dust, keep labeled chests for Argon Dust, Krypton Dust, Neon Dust, Radon Dust, and Xenon Dust so restocking is quick.
