Optimize Lemony Shaders on Low-End Computers

Why Single-Pass Matters

Lemony Shaders is designed as a single-pass shader pack, meaning it processes all lighting and reflections in one rendering cycle. This architecture already makes it efficient for potato PCs. However, you can optimize further.

Performance Tuning Steps

1. Reduce render distance in your video settings—this is the most impactful change. Lower distances mean fewer blocks to process per frame.

2. Disable advanced reflection features if available in the shader config. Some packs allow you to toggle water reflections or ambient reflections separately.

3. Lower graphics settings like clouds, particles, and entity shadows in Minecraft's video menu.

4. Use smaller texture packs (16x or 32x resolution) instead of 64x or higher. Lemony Shaders works with any resolution, but smaller textures reduce memory pressure.

5. Monitor frame rate using F3 debug screen. If you're consistently below your target FPS, reduce render distance further or disable optional shader features.

Lemony Shaders should maintain playable frame rates even on older hardware when these settings are properly tuned.
