Create a Seasonal Leaf Litter Rotation
Set Up Multiple Texture Variants
To simulate seasonal changes in your forest, create several versions of the leaf litter textures:
1. Open your resource pack and locate the leaf litter texture files in assets/minecraft/textures/block
2. Create copies of each biome's leaf litter texture and name them with seasonal suffixes (e.g., oak_leaves_spring, oak_leaves_autumn)
3. Edit each variant with appropriate colors—spring uses bright greens, summer uses rich greens, autumn uses yellows and oranges, winter uses muted browns
4. Modify the texture reference files to point to your chosen seasonal variant
5. Save and test in-game
Rotate Seasons Manually
To switch seasons, edit the texture references to point to different seasonal variants and reload the pack. While Minecraft doesn't have built-in seasons, this approach lets you manually update your world's appearance for seasonal builds or role-play. Document which texture files correspond to each season for easy swapping.
