Change Leaf Litter Colors for Specific Biomes
Customize Individual Biome Colors
The Leaf Litter Recolor Resource Pack assigns different leaf litter colors to each biome type. To adjust these colors for your world:
1. Locate the resource pack folder in your .minecraft/resourcepacks directory
2. Open the assets/minecraft/textures/block folder
3. Find the leaf litter texture files—these are typically named after biome types (oak, birch, jungle variants)
4. Edit the texture files using an image editor like Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.NET
5. Adjust the hue and saturation to your preference—increase brightness for lighter greens, add more yellow for autumn tones
6. Save the modified textures in PNG format
7. Reload your resource pack in-game by pressing F3 + T (or restart Minecraft)
Test Your Changes
Travel to different biomes to see how your recolored leaf litter looks in context. The changes apply immediately to fallen leaves on the ground without affecting tree canopies. If colors don't match your vision, return to the texture files and refine them further.
